Things that made me smile this week…...


Watching my Amaryllis coming into flower and discovering a second stem :-)
Purple sprouting broccoli just beginning to sprout in the garden
Putting some washing out on the line and breathing in that fresh smell when taking it in again
Making peanut butter and chocolate biscuits - naughty but nice!
Cooking by candle light during a power cut - luckily we have gas to cook with.

    I'm sorry that you have been without power - I assume that your blog post means that you are back to normal now though?

      Thanks Amy. Yes, all power restored now. I think we were lucky as it only went off for about four hours with us, whereas friends had their power off till the next day. Just hope the weather settles down soon for everyone xx

    Love the view from your garden. We lost our power too for almost a whole day. Luckily it came back in the afternoon, but the house was sooo cold :(
