I recently went to see the international touring exhibition 'The Climate is Changing' at
Farfield Mill near Sedbergh. The exhibition features work from fifty felt artists from across the world and through the medium of fibre demonstrates an international concern for climate change issues. All the exhibits are stunning and it is really interesting to see how different artists have interpreted the issues and how they have used variety of materials including wire, metal, plastic and recycled materials within their projects. The themes which come through are to do with what will be lost and how things will be remembered, with destruction and regeneration and with responsibility.
Just a few photos of the ones I liked....
